JETCAST LAUNCHES REPLACEADS™, ONE OF THE INTERNET’S LARGEST AUDIO AND VIDEO ADVERTISING NETWORKS

JETCAST LAUNCHES REPLACEADS™, ONE OF THE INTERNET’S LARGEST AUDIO AND VIDEO ADVERTISING NETWORKS

ReplaceAds™ takes its place among top Internet audio and video advertising sales companies.

New York, NY – December 4, 2008 – Jetcast, Inc. today announced the launch of its ReplaceAds™ audio and video advertising network. The ReplaceAds Network includes more than 3,500 of the Internet’s biggest radio broadcasts including a diverse mix of music, sports, news, talk and special interest broadcasts. In November, people watched or listened to about 100 million hours (6 billion minutes) of ReplaceAds serviced Internet broadcasts, and there were more than one billion 15, 30 and 60 second ad insertion opportunities.

“We have been building ReplaceAds with our Internet broadcasting and technology partners for the last seven months or so,” said Jeff Pescatello, ReplaceAds’ co-Founder. “We now have the daily reach and scale to provide national brand advertisers the unique ability to reach every major demographic while they are at work”, Pescatello continued. “Most agencies are surprised to learn that we regularly have more than 600,000 simultaneous listeners/viewers during the broadcast day with millions of impressions per hour”, continued Pescatello.

All broadcasts in the ReplaceAds Network are premium, branded, and brand-safe channels/stations with audiences conditioned to advertisements. “This provides our advertisers with a great opportunity to reach millions with their audio and/or video branding messages. For the first time, advertisers can buy hundreds or thousands of stations from a single source, so they can easily and cost effectively implement even the largest campaign”, Pescatello stated.

ReplaceAds is especially effective for any advertiser looking to build or maintain a nationwide brand, such as drug or financial services companies, and auto manufacturers. It is also useful for advertisers looking to launch a new product within a few weeks such as film studios, gaming companies, fast food chains with new value menus, or companies with holiday specials or time-limited offers. ReplaceAds allows reach and frequency at very competitive CPM’s which can be used to supplement or replace a national television buy.

About ReplaceAds™

ReplaceAds provides local and national advertisers the highest return on their brand advertising investment. ReplaceAds has aggregated the majority of people watching or listening to broadcasts on the Internet on a daily basis. Because of the enormity of our daily audience, the premium nature of our broadcasts, and the long periods of time our listeners and viewers spend with us each day, we can offer brand advertisers with unique and highly effective ways to reach those consumers with their message.

The ReplaceAds™ Network team is comprised of veterans from the film, music, radio, advertising, and Internet broadcasting industries who all share a passion for building value for our customers and partners. www.ReplaceAds.com

Jetcast Exec joins McVay Media “Summit @ The Conclave”

Power panel to reveal hot new technology for radio programmers

PRESS RELEASE (New York – Monday, June 23, 2008) -- Global programming consultancy McVay Media has added Jetcast’s senior marketing executive Tom Zarecki to its lineup of presenters as part as part of the McVay Programming Summit @ The Conclave in Minneapolis on Thursday, June 26, 2008.

The McVay panel called “Six Hot New Ideas in Sixty Minutes” will showcase Zarecki along with other technology experts. Mike McVay, president of McVay Media, commented “Jetcast is an amazing service that not only enables a webcaster to deliver the best quality product, but they have a brain trust behind them that gives any radio group or media company an almost unfair advantage.”

Other well-known speakers and segments will get center stage throughout the 4-hour McVay Summit which kicks off The Conclave’s annual event at the Marriot City Center Hotel in Minneapolis, MN. Other sessions during the Summit include “A New Era for Fresh Talent”, “Promotions in Time of Crisis”, and “Using New Media to Attract New Listeners and New Revenue.”

Multi-genre Internet Station Embraces 12 Genres, 7 Decades

“Best of Everything” targets mature music genre…and disenfranchised advertisers

PRESS RELEASE (New York – Monday, June 2, 2008) Dark Horse Productions, Ltd. has announced a partnership with New York-based Jetcast Internet Streaming in the recent launch of “The Best of Everything", a new, original, free music channel available online.

The Best of Everything is a variety-driven ‘master blend’ of music showcasing familiar songs and artists from the past and present, targeting mature consumers. The continuous programming is available worldwide, 24/7 at www.TheBestofEverything.net.

A new programming genre “right there, in front of my ears”

“People around the world who love crowd-pleasing performers and performances will love the ‘super-variety on this channel”, says Bob Bruno, President of Dark Horse Productions as well as the channel’s brainchild and primary programmer. “With the dominance of Rock-based music formats everywhere“, continued Bruno, “What was missing, frankly, was everything else. Once I realized this, the format was right there in front of my ears. Our team carefully selected the music, then added formatics and positioning to sculpt a new programming genre in an extremely listenable package.”

The Best of Everything spotlights the cream of pop from all eras of twelve musical genres including Solid Gold, Classic Jazz, The Best Songs of Today, American Standards, Soft Rock, Soundtracks, The Best of the Band Years, Motown, Hit Parade, Timeless Country, R&B, and Broadway hits.

Accepting and embracing variety

“Where else can you hear the diversity of women like Carrie Underwood, Peggy Lee, Nora Jones, and Whitney Houston, all on the same channel?”, adds Bruno, a former VP/GM at legendary New York City stations WOR and WNEW. “Imagine classics by Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers, Chuck Berry, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and The Eagles all in one refreshing and different blend.”

“There’s an instinctive need for variety in our lives,” Bruno explains, “from the food we eat to the clothes we wear to the music we like. Just a quick glance at most people’s music collection tells the story best. Is it a bit eclectic? Most collections are. The Best of Everything is equally as broad, but reassuringly familiar.”

A marketer’s dream

America’s most popular songs and pop artists of all time are showcased to a potential audience of millions worldwide which, explains Bruno, just happens to also be an untapped advertising opportunity for thousands of disenfranchised businesses.

Crediting Business Week magazine for recognizing this fact in an article in which the mature consumer was called “a marketer’s dream,” (read article here) Bruno says the facts overwhelmingly support that conclusion. “Mature Americans’ incomes exceed average households,” he elaborates. “They control the largest disposable income of any age group in America. They are socially active, committed to a youthful lifestyle and living longer, fuller lives than any generation in history. This generation not only dismantled the old stereotypes of adulthood, it changed its own paradigm and as a pleasant by-product created a gold mine of sponsorship opportunities which remain untapped…until now”

“We’re honored to be working with Bob Bruno” added Tom Zarecki, Senior Marketing Executive at Jetcast Streaming. “Here at Jetcast, just like at Dark Horse, our principals have deep backgrounds in radio management and programming, so we immediately recognized Bob’s golden ears and winning programming ideas, and were able to provide the technology and tools he needed to get ‘The Best of Everything’ online quickly.”

Jetcast Streaming for Radio Goes to Work - ‘Migration of millions’ hearing radio online while working

(Minneapolis, MN) July 2, 2007 – Global radio streaming company Jetcast, Inc. offered a litany of online programming ideas Saturday at a national gathering of radio programming executives.

Veteran radio programmer and broadcast technology consultant Michael Dalfonzo of Jetcast was a speaker in Minneapolis on June 30th at the 32nd annual Conclave, an educational seminar to improve broadcast quality by serving the public interest. Dalfonzo appeared during “The Next Big Thing” session, a panel of industry experts moderated by Joel Denver of All Access.

Exodus of ears

“There’s a ‘migration of millions’ going on every day, “explained Dalfonzo. People waking up with radio in their home and car are then seeking similar channels on their computer at work. The clear message today,” he continued, “Is that listeners are already streaming radio at work in large numbers because terrestrial stations themselves are heavily promoting their online streams.”

He cautioned that stations still not streaming to at-work listeners are losing out on this daily exodus of ears. Dalfonzo provided ideas for the radio programmers in attendance to further target online listeners, with an “Online Lunch Club” for online-only contesting, promoting benefits of in-car listening to streamers, and filling terrestrial spot breaks with more music online. “Instead of PSA’s,” he said, “These are perfect slots to showcase new music to online listeners, and then promote that feature to your terrestrial listeners.”

Dalfonzo also called for stations to immediately stop airing free commercials and begin selling that valuable inventory. “Tons of cash is left on the table every broadcast day”, said Dalfonzo, adding, “A station’s ‘bonus’ to on-air advertisers by also streaming terrestrial commercials makes the station’s stream and Web site feel less valuable.”

About Jetcast

Introduced to the radio industry at the Spring 2007 NAB, Jetcast is the first service of its kind driven by experienced radio veterans, offering dependable streaming services with high bandwidth at very low cost while eliminating artificial listener “caps” imposed by traditional streaming companies. These streams are in turn offered by individual radio stations to their listeners via each station’s Web site player and may also be found by consumers on the portal site, www.jetcast.com.

Channels on the Jetcast site are from radio and television stations, video channel and webcam program producers, local bands with original music and others with unique content.
